"Down With The People" Thoughts!

I really like Jacob Weisberg's article! I sometimes feel like in politics no one accepts responsibility for anything! It doesn't matter whether the issue is economic depression, the ever worsening state of the environment, or even who stole the cookie from the cookie jar, people cannot seem to accept any blame! Instead they blame Obama and his administration or anyone else they can think of and that just seems so silly to me! In order to make progress in America, we need to accept our wrong doings and make changes that steer our nation in a new direction. Weisberg says in his article that "... the public lives in Candyland, where the government can tackle big problems and get out of the way at the same time." This is a great quote that is true in more ways than one. Yes, we the people do HOPE the federal government can solve any problem they put their mind to, but we also think that they don't need our help and that is entirely the wrong attitude. If American citizens want a better and more efficient nation then they need to accept responsibility and take matters into their own hands. Everyone can make a difference. :)
